Polk County - Swain took top honors at this past weekends Alan Peoples Invitational meet in Polk County.  The meet featured teams from all over North Carolina.  Swain edged Grimsley High School for first place by a 130 to 125 score.  Owen finished third with 117 points. Polk County - The Lady Devil track team finished 2nd at the prestigious Alan Peoples Invitational this past weekend in Polk County.  Grimsley High School from Greensboro finished first on the day with 180 points with Swain next at 165 points and R-S Central finished third with 113.5 points. The Lady Devils soccer team traveled to Murphy on Thursday to take on the Murphy Bulldogs. Murphy would come into the game at 4-1 in conference play and Swain would come in at 5-0. The Swain High Golf team hosted their final match yesterday at Smoky Mountain Country Club. The team finished fourth place with a team total of 215.
