Cheerleaders In NCHSAA Championships This Weekend

Blankenship Named SMC Coach of the Year

Swain's Neil Blankenship was named the Smoky Mountain Conference Coach of the Year, it was reveled Sunday.  His Maroon Devils finished 15-1 on the season and won the Smoky Mountain Conference Championship. Raymius Smith State Championship Offensive MVP

Payton Parker State Championship Defensive MVP

Swain senior linebacker Payton Parker was named the 2012 State Championship defensive MVP for Swain at Saturday's game.  Parker was credited with being in on 16 total tackles for the game.  His 16 tackles were the most of anyone from either team.
