Bryson City – The Smoky Mountain Conference announced their All Smoky Mountain Conference as well as Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year for softball on Tuesday.
Swain’s senior pitcher Stacey Griggs was named the Smoky Mountain Conference Pitcher of the Year for her efforts on the field this past season. This caps off an outstanding senior season for the 4 year starter, who pitched every inning of every game this season for the Lady Devils. Griggs lead the conference in strikeouts with 138 on the season, on her way to being named the SMC top pitcher.
For Griggs it tops off an outstanding career at Swain where she finished with 27 career wins and 350 career strikeouts.
