Bryson City – Wednesday was senior night for the Lady Devil volleyball team, who honored their five seniors prior to the match against Blue Ridge. Swain’s seniors are Faith Parker, Jenna Marr, Kele Eagleman, Jessie Lohmann and Hannah Epperson.
Visiting Blue Ridge Early College entered the match with a 4-0 record. From the start the two teams went back and forth, which would last the duration of the contest. Eventually the Bobcats walked away with a hard fought 3-1 win by the scores of 20-25, 25-22, 22-25 and 15-25.
BREC used a punishing attack from Charlotte Sherrill and Gracie Watson, while Swain answered with Jenna Marr.
For the contest Marr would finish with 9 kills 7 blocks and 5 aces. Savana Smith also finished with 9 kills, while Mazie Helpman added 5 kills and Hannah Epperson 3 for the Lady Devils.
