Bryson City – Thursday, September 26th, the Swain County Athletic Hall of Fame held their Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2019. Gary Ayers was on hand to MC the event. The Class of 2019 is the 18th class to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since it’s inception back in 2002. One of 5 inductees was Nat Watson.

Played 4 sports at Swain and was outstanding in all 4 • In football he was All SMC, All WNC & Asheville Citizen-Times All Scholastic team during senior season • 3 time All SMC in football, 3 time All SMC in baseball, 2 time All SMC in basketball & All SMC in track for a total of 9 All SMC recognitions • Set school records in receiving as a sophomore – most TDs (5) & yards in a game (288) along with 15 TD receptions in a season • Averaged 43.8 yards per punt as a senior • Signed a full grant-in-aid to play football at Western Carolina University • Played football & baseball at Western Carolina University
Congrats Nat. I remember going to a lot a games and you were the MAN back in our day kinda like Heath back in his days and now here comes Navy. We just have an awesome bloodline when it comes to sports. Love y’all.
