Bryson City – Thursday, September 26th, the Swain County Athletic Hall of Fame held their Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2019. Gary Ayers was on hand to MC the event. The Class of 2019 is the 18th class to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since it’s inception back in 2002. One of 5 inductees was Stephanie Allman Treadway.

Played 4 sports at Swain and was outstanding in all 4 • 1987 NCHSAA 1A/2A 800-meter State Runner-up, finished 3rd in 1A/2A State Championships in 1986 • 1987 SMC, Sectional & Western Regional 800-meter champion • 3 time SMC Champion in the 800-meter, breaking previous SMC 800-meter record • Broke the school record in the 800-meter 6 times, with best time of 2:25.29 • 3 time All SMC in track, All SMC in basketball • A 4 year starter in basketball • Member of 1985 volleyball SMC Tournament Champions • Member of Lady Devil basketball team that won the 1987 North Carolina Scholar Athlete Team Award for team GPA

i have the best memories of steph in high school. the thing about her that always made me proud was her humility ! she never got the big head and she always kept things in perspective ! congratulations young lady well deserved .
