Bryson City – Swain took a pair of SMC wins from Cherokee on Tuesday. No details were available for game 2, other than the Devils won big in 5 innings. In game 1 of the double dip the Devils scored 10 runs in the 1st inning on their way to a 17-7 win.
Senior Hunter Call went 3-3 with 5 rbi to go along with 3 runs scored. Call was a single away from hitting for the cycle, as he had a double, triple and home run on the day. Gaige Southards, Daniel Ammons, Dawson Chambers, Caleb Taylor and Jake Waldroup all finished with 2 hits. Southards, Chambers and Taylor each drove in a pair of runs, while Chambers scored 3 times.
On the mound Brady Kirkland picked up the win working 2 innings. Dawson Chambers and Gaige Southards worked an inning each in relief.
