Bryson City – In non-conference action on Wednesday the Mustangs took a tough hard fought win over Swain by the score of 11-7. Smoky scored 5 runs over the last two innings to notch the win. Swain gave up five unearned runs in the game.
Colby Taylor paced Swain with a pair of hits in four at bats. Gaige Southards scored a pair of runs and doubled. Connor Hyatt, Hunter Call, Caleb Taylor and Brady Kirkland each drove in a run for the Maroon Devils.
Dawson Chambers worked five and two thirds innings for Swain. Gaige Southards came on to work the final inning and a third.
