Cherokee – The Lady Devils scored 11 runs in the top of the 3rd inning on their way to a 15-1 5 inning win at Cherokee. Junior Ashton Younce had a career high 5 rbi in the win. Younce went 3-3 scored a pair of runs and stole two bases.
The top of Swain’s order produced in a big way. Brayden Taylor and Kendall Bowers combined for 6 hits and 5 runs. Taylor was 3-4 and scored 3 times including her first career home run, a solo shot to left field. Bowers went 3-4 as well, scoring 2 runs. Ayianna West went 2-2 driving in a run and scoring a run.
In the circle Kenzie Eagleman picked up her first win of the season. Eagleman worked 3 innings scattering 4 hits and striking out 2. Anneleise Cook worked the final 2 innings in relief.
