Bryson City – The Maroon Devils couldn’t hold on down the stretch Tuesday, dropping a low scoring affair to visiting Blue Ridge Early College. Blue Ridge controlled the tempo all evening, keeping the pace slow and the scoring low. Swain however, held the lead for the game’s first 3 quarters before being outscored down the final stretch 21-4, as Blue Ridge went on to take a 45-33 win.
Jesse Waldroup paced the Devils with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Judaiah Littlejohn finished with 7 points while Gaige Southards and Hunter Cochran had 6 each. Bradley Vestal dished out 5 assists to go with 7 rebounds.
Swain travels to Highlands on Friday.
