Bryson City – The Lady Devils made things interesting for the game’s first 16 minutes or so, but Robbinsville pulled away over the final 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter to take a 76-58 win. At the half the Knights held a 38-33 led despite the Lady Devils fighting against significant foul trouble.
Freshman Mazie Helpman led all scorers with a game high 28 points, including going 10 of 16 from the free throw line. Fellow freshman Savannah Smith chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Taylor Collins finished with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.
