Asheville – Saturday the cross country teams traveled to Asheville Christian Academy for the NCHSAA 1A Western Regionals. The conditions were muddy and cold but both teams fared well. Phynley Meyers, Emily Ulaner and Jacie Mitchell all had season bests. On the boys side, Ryan Jenkins had a second place finish with a time only 1 second slower than his personal best. Bradley Vestal and Jaxon McClung also had a season best time on Saturday. The boys overall received 4th place in the region and will be advancing to the State Competition this Saturday, November 3rd!
