Cherokee – The Smoky Mountain Conference has released brackets for the SMC Basketball Tournament, which will be held at Murphy High School this year. Tournament play will get underway on Thursday of this week (tomorrow) and run through next Friday’s championship games.
Swain High will open play on Saturday, as all Swain teams will play that day. Swain will open as the #3 seed in JV boy action, and face off with #6 Murphy in the first round game slated for 3 o’clock.
The Lady Devils (#6 seed) will open at 4 o’clock as they take on the #3 seeded Robbinsville Black Knights.
Then the #3 seeded Maroon Devils will have the 5:30 game as they will face off with #6 seed Rosman.
