Swain County High School has four football players that have been selected to play in the Food City Border Bowl All Star game. The all-star affair has Four States that are participating NC, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. At this time we do not know who the NC squad will be playing. Swain’s Brodie Bowman, Brier Younce, Seth Parker and Holden Petty will suit up for the NC squad. Neil Blankenship has also been tabbed as a coach for the NC team.
The players have to report on Wednesday January 17th. They will have one practice on Wednesday, three practices on Thursday, and on Friday two practices and a banquet at Rocky Top Sports World. Game times Saturday will be at 12:08 or 3:10. Both games will be televised on ESPN 3. The games will be played at Sevier County High School.
So proud of these guys. They have to work so hard.
