Bryson City – The game had all the makings of a couple of earlier losses for the Maroon Devils, as they jumped out to a big lead and then ended up seeing that lead slip away due to severe foul problems. Tuesday the Devils built a 20 point lead only to find themselves once again in deep foul trouble. This time the Devils were able to maintain their lead and come away with a 72-52 win over visiting Murphy.
Swain finished the 1st half with an 11 point advantage. In a productive 3rd period the Maroon Devils stretched that lead to 19, and had it as high as 22 early into the 4th.
Junior Zeke Bradley, despite playing limited minutes due to foul problems, finished with a game high 21 points. Bradley added 15 rebounds, 6 assists and a couple of steals to his busy night. Brier Younce scored 14 points, to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Seth Parker and Gaige Southards each had 13 points for the Devils.
