Bryson City – Thursday the Maroon Devils and Franklin Panthers engaged in extremely well played and entertaining game. The scored was tied 11 times and the lead changed hands 7 times over the course of the game’s 32 minutes. Swain built their biggest lead down the stretch, pulling away to take a 90-82 win over the visiting Panthers.
The score looks like it was an offensive slugfest, but in reality the defense was outstanding by both teams, with better offense. Swain had four players in double figures, while the Panthers countered with three.
