Bryson City – The Lady Devils held a ceremony prior to Tuesdays match with Blue Ridge to honor their four retiring seniors. Seniors Gabby Jones, Taylor Medlin, Ashley Winchester, and Emma Blythe were recognized and presented with gifts in thanks for their service and example that they have set playing volleyball.In the match itself, the Lady Devils jumped out to a huge lead and never looked back cruising to a 25-13, 25-23, and 25-22 sweep of visiting Blue Ridge.
“I am extremely proud of these girls,” commented head coach Janet Shuler following the match. “All four are great leaders, and the really good thing is that they do it in their own way. “
