Cherokee – Swain’s Maleeah Langstaff was named to the All Smoky Mountain Conference women’s basketball team for her efforts this season. The junior forward averaged a double-double with 12 points 10 rebounds, to go with 4 blocks and 3 assists per game. Langstaff and the Lady Devils finished with a 13-15 overall record, their best since the 2007-08 season when Swain went 15-8 under then head coach Neil Blankenship. Their six wins in conference play is equal to their total conference wins in the last five years.
Swain’s Lynsey Hicks, Gabby Jones, and Taylor Medlin were all named as Honorable Mention All Smoky Mountain Conference.
