Cherokee – One night after taking Erwin to the brink before falling, the Lady Devils rebounded with a 3-0 sweep of Cherokee. Monday the Lady Devils had a 2-0 lead against Erwin slip away falling 27-25, 25-19, 19-25, 16-25, and 10-15. Tuesday the Ladies started slowly but found their rhythm taking the win by the scores of 25-20, 25-9 and 25-12.
Against Cherokee Gabby Jones and Grace Cabe provided the power, as Jones had 8 kills and Cabe 6. Senior Libero Gabby Lane was outstanding from the service line finishing with 7 aces. Autumn Brown had 12 assists, 7 digs, 5 aces, and 3 kills.
Jones and Cabe also lead the offense against Erwin, as each finished with 8 kills. Faith Long added 7 kills and 4 blocks. Cabe finished with a team high 29 digs. Autumn Brown had 18 assists and 13 digs for Swain.
