Hendersonville – North Henderson entered Wednesday the 8th ranked team in the latest 3A softball polls. From Swain’s point of view 8 might be a little low. The Knights put on a hitting show in front of their home fans, pounding the Lady Devils 28-7. North went up 4-0 after the 1st inning, but exploded for 14 runs in the second, and added 10 more in the 4th.
Swain scored all 7 of their runs in the 4th and 5th inning, with 4 coming in the 4th. Adriana Kaylor went 2-3 and scored twice, while Shayne Catolster also went 2-3 with 2 runs batted in. The Lady Devils used 4 pitchers who combined to give up 17 hits, 5 walks, and 11 earned runs. Swain’s defense committed 11 errors in the loss.
