Brevard – The Maroon Devil golf team got their start this week with a match at Connestee Falls Golf Course in Brevard. The rain held off as the team posted a nine hole score total of 173. Leading the charge was Sophomore Jack Cornblum with the lowest round total of 39. Second was Sophomore Grant Shuler with a 40. Rounding out the top four spots were Senior Jake Frizzell and Sophomore Billy Manley, both shooting 47. Also posting great nine hole rounds were Sophomores Cameron Hampton 51, and Sophomore Will Ogle 52. The team will be at home on Thursday at Smoky Mountain Country Club. Tee time is at 3:30 pm.
