Bryson City – Swain raced out to an early lead outscoring the Panthers 12-6 in the first quarter, but couldn’t make it stand up as Franklin downed the Devils 56-54. Silas Raby finished with 10 points, but none were more important than the last 2 points, as it was Raby who hit a driving layup with 3.3 seconds left to give the Panthers the win.
For Swain offense was hard to come by in the first half as they were held to only 1 second quarter point and found themselves trailing at halftime, after building a 12-6 to open the game. Drew Ball and Phinehas Little paced Swain with 15 points each. Cory Fox paced Franklin with 15 points, while Jackson Norton had a game high 7 rebounds. Grant Shuler had 6 rebounds for Swain, while Jake Marr and Little added 5 each. Brett Treadway dished out 7 assists for Swain.
