Maggie Sutton had 5 aces, 5 kills, and served 13 straight points in game 4 of Lady Devils 3-1 win over Murphy
BRYSON CITY, WNC – Going into Tuesday’s match with Murphy the Lady Devils had only lost one game in their 3 match wins in conference play. Murphy took game 3 from Swain by the score of 25-14. In the end all it accomplished was to make the Lady Devils mad.
Swain roared back to take game 4 by the score of 25-8. Junior Maggie Sutton took matters into her own hands in game 4. Sutton had 5 kills and 5 aces in game 4. She also took over serving with the score 12-8, 13 Sutton serves later the game and match was history.
Kelly Brown had 14 kills to lead a potent Swain attack. Lydia Sale finished with 12 kills while Jessica Winchester finished with 11.
Valerie Arkansas returned from her ankle injury to dish out 28 assists, and Karie Jones added 24 assists to the Swain attack.
