BRYSON CITY – Robbinsville held off a furious Maroon Devil rally in the 4th to post a 66-58 win and advance in the SMC Tournament. Swain standout Raymius Smith put on a dazzling performance and at one point had his team within 4 points. Smith then hit a driving layup and was fouled, which had the Maroon Devil faithful in an uproar, but the basket was waved off and the Maroon Devils were not able to get back within 4 points the remainder of the game. Smith also finished a game high 12 rebounds for the Devils. In what was most likely his final home game, Smith left the Devil faithful with a memorable one, scoring his 30 points on an array of shots that continually kept the Devils within striking distance of the Knights.
