You could excuse them if the Lady Devils were a little pre-occupied Tuesday night. After all they had a big day planned for Wednesday. First order of business though was taking care of a pesky Hayesville squad. Despite being flat the Lady Devils roared back in the first game from a 7 point deficit to take game one and eventually a 3-1 win over the Jackets by the scores of 25-18, 25-16, 20-25, and 25-16.
Senior middle hitter Jenn Brown had a monster night. Brown tallied 17 kills, 7 blocks, and 6 aces to pace the Lady Devils offense. Outside hitter Lydia Sale added 13 kills. Swain’s other middle blocker Alyssa Robinson had 6 kills and 5 blocks, while Emily Styles added 6 kills. Setter Valerie Arkansas dished out 35 assists to fuel the Swain offense.
With the win out of the way the Lady Devils boarded a plane and headed to Orlando Florida for the KSA Disney Tournament, where they will play 6 matches over the next 5 days. Stay tuned to twitter @Maroon_Machine for constent updates.
