The Swain High Golf team hosted their final match yesterday at Smoky Mountain Country Club. The team finished fourth place with a team total of 215. Murphy placed first (158), Robbinsville 2nd (191), and Cherokee 3rd (196), respectively. Leading the Maroon Devils was Sophomore Landon Harrison shooting his best round of the season with a 50. Tying for second on the team were Senior Braylon Aldridge and Freshman Skeet Cook both finishing with a 53. Rounding out the fourth spot was Sophomore Jaden Wade with a 59. Also competing was Sophomore Clay Seagle finishing his day with a 61.
“This is our lowest round to date,” stated Coach Crisp, “as we push towards the SMC Championship in late April, we are picking up momentum to compete at a high level.” The team will travel next week to Hayesville.
