Bryson City – The Maroon Devils forced a three way tie atop the Smoky Mountain Conference standings with a thrilling 4-0 win over Hayesville on Tuesday. The Jackets came into the game undefeated in conference play, while Swain and Murphy each had a loss.
Swain scored three runs in the third inning, and then made that hold up to take the 4-0 win. Charlie Collins picked the win for the Devils. Carter Hayes roped a double that ended up clearing the loaded bases and allowing all three runs to cross the plate for the Devils.
