Bryson City – Tuesday was a matchup between two teams with similar records, but in the end it would be the Lady Devils who would prevail. Swain rode a strong night from senior Mazie Helpman to a 55-43 Smoky Mountain Conference win.
Helpman would net 16 of her game high 26 in the second half, to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Maddie Spates and Savana Smith each finished with 8 points. Spates added 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
