Cashiers – Tuesday the Lady Devils got off to a solid start outscoring Blue Ridge 21-15 over the games first 8 minutes. Swain went on to take their first road win of the season by a comfortable margin as they downed the home standing Bobcats 72-40.
Their hot start, as did the game in general, featured balanced scoring from the Lady Devils. In the 1st quarter six different Lady Devils scored 2 or more points, led by Savana Smith’s 7 points. Smith would finish with 14 for the game. Mazie Helpman scored 15 of her team high 17 points in the second half, which saw Swain outscore Blue Ridge 43-15. Kiersten Smith and Haileigh Woodard also tallied double figures for the Devils, as both finished with 10 points.
