Bryson City – The Lady Devils concluded their 2023 regular season on Thursday as they hosted Murphy. Swain hoped to avenge a 4-3 loss to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. It wasn’t meant to be as the Bulldogs scored 5 runs in the final two innings to break open a tight game and take a 8-4 win.
Freshman Rylee Rawls put the Lady Devils ahead with a two run homerun in the bottom of the 5th. Rawls finished with a pair of hits. Senior right fielder Hannah Shuler went 3-3 on the day scoring a run and doubling. Carley Teesateskie and Faith Woodard had a hit each for the Lady Devils. Maddie Spates and Kaley Parker drove in a run each.
