Bryson City – For the second straight game the Maroon Devils used an explosive first quarter to run out to a big lead. And for the second straight time it would be a lead that they would hold onto for the remainder of the game. After starting the first 8 minutes with a 17-4 run, the Maroon Devils held off a torrid comeback attempt to beat Andrews 51-46.
Swain’s Josh Collins scored a game high 17 points, including 13 in the second half. Aiden Southards chipped in 14 points. Josiah Glaspie and Priest Killstwice added 6 points each for the Devils.
Swain will travel to Hayesville on Friday.
