Bryson City – The visiting Cherokee Braves used a potent 3rd quarter, where they outscored the Devils 19-10 to gain the lead in the two teams conference matchup Wednesday. From there they would go on to post a 70-63 win over Swain.
Cherokee’s Tso Smith scored 9 of his game high 21 points in the decisive 3rd quarter.
For the Maroon Devils Reese Winchester finished with 16 points to lead four Devils in double figure scoring. Josh Collins and Josiah Glaspie each finished with 14 points, while Aiden Southards chipped in 12 points. Nathan Bogdanowicz finished (unofficially) with 13 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
