Kernersville – The Maroon Devil Cross Country team finished 7th out of 15 teams at this past weekends NCHSAA 1A State Championship race. The race itself featured a three way tie for first place and consequently the State Championship. South Stanly, Cherokee, and Christ the King all finished with 77 points. South Stanly won the Championship on the tie breaker, which is the 6th runners finish. Cherokee was second and Christ the King third.
