Newland – Senior Will Jenkins traveled to Mountain Glen Golf Course on Tuesday May 3rd for the 1A West Regional Round. The difficulty of the course and fast greens provided a true test for the Senior as he carded a 92 (+20). “Will never got into a good rhythm,” stated Coach Crisp, “as he struggled to play his game on the tight course.” He finished the round in 39th place out of 65 golfers. Coach Crisp continued, “Will and all the seniors have been a blessing to coach. Golf is a great sport that teaches life values, and all these kids will take what was learned and apply it to their future endeavors. I look forward to watching them grow into young adults.”
