Bryson City – The Maroon Devils steamrolled their way to a 2-0 start on Friday. Despite a cold shooting night the Devils used a 24-14 run to build a 41-24 halftime lead on their way to a 83-61 win over visiting Hiwassee Dam. Swain got 21 points off of 22 offensive rebounds on a busy night in the paint.
Isaiah Collins paced Swain with a team high 24 points to go along with 8 offensive rebounds. Charlie Collins Josh Collins provided a much needed spark for the Devils off the bench. Charlie Collins finished with 13 points, while Josh Collins had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Cooper Hyatt led the Devils with 6 assists, while Carter Kirkland dished out 5.
