Asheville – On Wednesday the Maroon Devils traveled to Erwin for a non-conference match. After falling behind in the early going the Devils stayed strong through the middle part of the match to take a hard fought 45-33 win. Trailing after losing two early decisions the Devils got pins from Israel Ferguson (160) and Cole Wikle (170) followed by a 7-1 decision by Gabe Lillard at 182 which put the Devils ahead. The lead was short lived as Erwin took the next two matches to retake the lead. Carson Taylor (220) and Kohlton Neadeau (285) took pins in their matches to put Swain back on top. Forfeith wins by Kale Stephenson (106) and Noah Rowe (113) combined with a pin by Owen Craig at 126 gave the Devils what they needed for the win.
