Cherokee – The Maroon Devils participated in the NCHSAA Western Regional Championships on Saturday. The meet was held at Cherokee Central and featured schools from the Western Region of NC. Swain’s top finishers on the day were Dawson Cody and Matthew Gray. Cody took 1st place in the Triple Jump by jumping 39’7″. In the Pole Vault it was Gray taking the top spot by clearing 14′.
