Murphy – Monday the first place Murphy Bulldogs dealt the Lady Devils a blow to their chances of making the playoffs. Murphy took an 11-1 decision in six innings. It marked the most runs given up by Swain all season. It also left Swain in a tie with Hiwassee Dam for 3rd place in the SMC.
On the day the Lady Devils managed 3 hits, one each from Brayden Taylor, Stacey Griggs and Savana Smith. It was Taylor who coaxed a bases loaded walk to bring home Ashley Stevenson with Swain’s loan run on the day.
