Bryson City – Swain High senior Jenna Marr was recently named to the All Smoky Mountain Conference team. There are 11 All Smoky Mountain selections, as voted on by the coaches. Marr, a Lenior-Rhyne commit, was the lone Lady Devil selected.
Grace Nelson of Murphy was selected as the conference Player of the Year, while her coach Nikol Edwards was tabbed as the conference Coach of the Year.
Joining Nelson and Marr as All Conference selections were – Sarah Pullium, Torin Rogers, Amber Martin and Olivia Payne of Murphy; Elizabeth Daves, Josie Chappell, Ashley Hoxit of Rosman; Kensley Phillips and Yeika Jimenez of Robbinsville and Jocelin Buckner of Hayesville.
The following players were named as Honorable Mention All Smoky Mountain Conference. Savana Smith and Kierston Smith of Swain; Hallie Johnson, Madison Crawford and Emma Shook of Hayesville; Emma Jones and Kaylin Ellis of Andrews; Ally Aires, Gabby Hooper and Delaney Brooms of Robbinsville; Laikyn Buchanan and Caroline Marlow of Rosman; Zoey Walkingstick of Cherokee and Cailey Dockery of Murphy.
