Robbinsville – In a tightly contested battle for 2nd place, Swain led Robbinsville 64-63 with 21.4 seconds left in the game. Swain missed the front end of a one and one, the preceding rebound resulted in a jump ball, giving Robbinsville possession of the ball with 15 seconds left. The Black Knights broke the Devils press and scored to take the lead at 65-64. Swain quickly pushed the ball up the court where Noel Wolf drove the baseline and kicked it out to Carter Kirkland who calmly drained a three at the buzzer to give Swain a 67-65 win.
Cooper Hyatt finished with 20 points for the Devils while Judaiah Littlejohn had 15. Kirkland and Isaiah Collins finished with 12 points each. Noel Wolf had a team high 4 assists while Collins had 10 rebounds.
With the win the Devils took over 2nd place and hold a one game advantage over Murphy, Robbinsville, and Cherokee.
