Bryson City – Last Tuesday the Maroon Devils and Bulldogs squared off. Both teams are battling it out for 2nd place in the SMC. Murphy took a bold step toward the prize with a 83-73 win over the Devils. Murphy pulled away with a strong 3rd quarter that saw them outscore Swain 22-9.
Abram Abling finished with a game high 35 points for the Bulldogs, while Jesse Kephart added 21.
For the Maroon Devils Isaiah Collins had 19 points, while Cooper Hyatt chipped in 16 to the Devils cause.
