Rosman – Swain used a huge 3rd quarter to break open a close game and take a 63-53 conference win over Rosman on Saturday January 16th. In the decisive quarter the Lady Devils outscored Rosman 24-6 to open the second half and build a lead they would not relinquish over the game’s final 8 minutes.
Junior post player Savana Smith shot 14 of 17 from the floor on her way to a game high 28 points. Fellow junior Mazie Helpman added 25 points to the Lady Devil cause. Newcomer Kaylynn Johnson finished with 7 points 10 rebounds and 6 assists, while Sophomore Madison Spates had 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
