Kituwah Farm – The Lady Devil cross country team finished 2nd at the NCHSAA Western Regionals on January 16th. Thomas Jefferson Classical took top honors with a team score of 23, with Swain barely edging Lincoln Charter 68 to 70 for second place. Hazel Pasley of Alleghany High School took first place with a time of 18:58.71. Lauren Tolbert of Highland Tech was 2nd with Emily Sansbury of Christ the King Catholic School finishing 3rd.
Swain’s Gracie Monteith was 5th overall with a time of 20:49.59, while Lily Bjerkness was 15th overall.
