Kituwah Farm – In the final event before the Smoky Mountain Conference Championships next Wednesday the Maroon Devil runner finished a close 2nd to Murphy. The Bulldogs took first with 30 overall points. Swain finished with 37 points, with Robbinsville and Tri-County Early College third and fourth respectively.
Chase Pierce (16:40.50) and Caleb Jones (17:04.00), both of Murphy, finished first and second. Swain’s Austin San Souci finished third with a time of 17:53.70, with Connor Lambert and Kane Jones right behind him. Lambert was 5th, while Jones was 7th. Senior Dhruv Senghani was 9th for the Devils.
The Smoky Mountain Conference Championships will be next Wednesday January 6th at Kituwah Farm.
