| Bryson City – The WNC Youth Basketball Conference has cancelled the 2020-2021 season due to COVID-19 safety concerns, gym capacity rules and, a host of other significant hurdles the conference was handed effective 11-16-20. The conference worked tirelessly to make every reasonable effort to play a full and/or modified season to no avail. The safety and wellbeing of players coaches, fans, security officers, school personnel and organization representatives were parallel in this decision.
The conference will continue to hold in high regards it’s integrity for all organizations it represents and do what is right for all communities and set the example of excellence that we demand so that our youth can excel. The conference will continue to meet and discuss the 2021-2022 season to make sure we stay on a course for competition for our youth. |
