Bryson City – Last Tuesday the Maroon Devil basketball team used a steady barrage and deep bench to post a 85-46 win over visiting Blue Ridge Early College. Swain outscored BREC by 14 points in the 2nd quarter to open up a 42-22 advantage at the break, then went on in the 3rd to push the lead to 30.
Nick Millsaps finished with a team high 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Donnavin Groenewold added 15 points, while Gage Jones chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists off the Swain bench.
