Bryson City – Hayesville broke open a close game with runs in the 2nd and 3rd quarters then held off the Lady Devils down the stretch to take a 55-50 win on Friday. The Lady Devils staged a comeback in the 4th quarter, outscoring Hayesville 15-9 down the stretch. For the game Hayesville shot 54% while the Lady Devils shot 37%.
Savana Smith paced Swain with another solid game. Smith finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Mazie Helpman added 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists. Ashton Younce and Madison Spates finished with 8 points each.
