Bryson City – The Maroon Devils put a scare into 1st place Hayesville on Friday. Swain went on a 26-11 run in the 2nd quarter, which saw them build a 36-22 halftime advantage. But Hayesville showed why they are 10-0 in SMC play, by picking themselves up and outscoring Swain 44-22 in the 2nd half to take a tough 66-57 win over the Devils.
Judaiah Littlejohn paced Swain with a team high 19 points on 6 of 12 shooting. Donnavin Groenewold added 15 to the Swain attack, while Nick Millsaps pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked 3 shots.
