Swain rolled into Murphy with fewer athletes but that did not slow them down. Our Maroon Lady Devils tied Murphy’s girls for first place with 105 points each, for their first ever 1st place finish in indoor track. This is something to really be proud of for a first year program to go into an environment that has built a huge program over the past 7 years and come out even with them. Our boys came in 2nd place, again way outnumbered but we did not give up.
We should be very proud of how well these young men and women perform and acknowledge the hard work that goes into what they do.
Plus…we now have four athletes going to state…Monica Riordan in the 55M hurdles, Natalie Stuckey in the shot put, Jenna Marr in the pole vault, and John Schuler in the pole vault. Others are very close.
