Three spring sports teams from Swain High have received Scholar-Athlete Recognition from the NCHSAA. In the team division, a varsity team earns Scholar-Athlete recognition by attaining a 3.1 (unweighted) aggregate GPA for that designated semester. The Swain County High School softball, soccer and girls track teams all received team recognition.
Additionally, seventy-seven spring sports athletes received Individual NCHSAA Scholar-Athlete Recognition. To receive individual recognition, the Individual Scholar-Athletes must attain at least a 3.5 weighted grade point average for the semester in which he or she competed.
